At Burton Center, we serve individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our services are always personalized to the unique needs of the individual.

Services Offered

Burton Center provides a range of services that are designed to help those with intellectual disabilities including day services, case management, employment services, and residential.

Intellectual Disability

Intellectual disability is defined as below-average intellectual functioning (a valid IQ of approximately 70 or below). The individual shows coexisting deficits in functioning in at least two of the following areas:

• Home Living
• Social Skills
• Using Community Resources
• Functional Academic Skills
• Health
• Work
• Self-Care
• Safety
• Interpersonal Skills
• Self-Direction
• Leisure
• Communication

Onset of the above conditions must have occurred before the individual turned 22 years of age.
