Lander Equestrian Center Opening Fall, 2009
Burton Center will be home to Lander University's Equestrian Center in October, 2009. The Equestrian Center, located at 2605 Hwy. 72-221E in Greenwood, will provide therapeutic and education labs for special education, nursing, psychology, physical education and exercise studies. The Center will also be home to Lander's Equestrian team. "We are excited about this venture with Lander. It will provide a great opportunity for our consumers to receive therapeutic horseback riding and HIPPO therapy and interaction with Lander students. The students will come away with valuable experience that will influence their lives," stated Jimmy Burton, Interim Executive Director.
