Traumatic brain injuries occur when a strong physical force causes injury to the skull or brain. The most common form of TBI includes car accidents, falls, and firearms. Strokes and aneurysms are not considered TBI.
Getting Help After A Traumatic Brain Injury
Because of the sudden nature of these serious injuries, individuals are often left stunned. Families aren't sure how to get the help they need or coordinate appropriate services that their loved one may require. Individuals with the injury are sometimes very aware of the change that has left them struggling to do most tasks.
During such a difficult time, Burton Center is here to help. Burton Center provides service to individuals with TBI in Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, McCormick, and Saluda counties.
